"A long-time Lone Rock resident, Sylvester King Whitaker, 76, died Tuesday while visiting at Oakridge, Ore.
"Mr. Whitaker, a retired logger, had been a county resident for 30 years.
"He was born in Roseburg, Ore., Jan. 13, 1881.
"Survivors include his wife, Bernice, also of Lone Rock; three sons, Leonard, S. Kenneth, and James Whitaker, all of Oakridge, Ore.; three daughters, Mrs. Maxyne Sullivan of Bremerton, Mrs. Iyone Brumm of Lone Rock and Mrs. Jayne Weims of Long Beach, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Berigan of Whidbey Island and Mrs. Frank Snyder of New Jersey.
"Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11: a.m."
