LANETT - Mrs. Earnestine Clark, 81, of Lanett died Thursday, July 31, 2008 at her residence.

Funeral services are planned for Saturday, Aug. 2 at 11 a.m. at McCarthy Funeral Home in West Point with the Revs. Mike Hawkins and Bill Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Lanett.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her daughter, Melanie Key of Lanett; four sons, Robert Clark III, Wayne Clark and Jeff Clark, all of Lanett, and Steve Clark of Warner Robins, Ga.; one sister, Annie Pearl Harris of LaGrange; four grandchildren, Wade Clark of West Point and Melissa Key, Jacob Key and Zachary Key, all of Lanett; and four great-grandchildren, Preston Queen, Tiffani Webb, Camryn Clark and Boylie Clark.

Born July 17, 1927 in LaGrange, Mrs. Clark was the daughter of the late Sarah Emma Otwell Clark and the late Ernest Bailey. She was a homemaker and had been active in her church, Lanier Baptist Church of the Lakeview Community in Lanett. Mrs. Clark loved cooking and gardening and being with her family. In her later years, Mrs. Clark loved to take long rides in the country with her sons Wayne, Robert and Jeff in Wayne's Kia Sorento. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert D. Clark Jr.; her sisters, Thelma Cochran, Ruth Davis and Burma Hendon; and her brother, Grover Bailey.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Chattahoochee Hospice or Lanier Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Friday, Aug. 1 from 6 until 8 p.m. at McCarthy Funeral Home.
