WEST POINT - Mrs. Annie Pearl Harris, 87, of West Point died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008 at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange.

Graveside services were held Sunday, Sept. 28 at 3 p.m. at Marseilles Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Pruitt officiating.

Mrs. Harris is survived by three children, Jackie Smith and Cindy Harris, both of Valley, and Donna (Waylon) Rowland of Hokes Bluff, Ala.; and two grandchildren, Shannon (Kelli) Smith and Stacey Smith.

Born Sept. 2, 1921 in Rock Mills, Mrs. Harris was the daughter of the late Sara Azt well Bailey and Earnest Bailey. She was a lifelong resident of West Point and was a homemaker. Mrs. Harris was a loving mother and grandmother, and her family was her most important thing. She loved flowers, gardening and baking.

Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Harris; her son-in-law, Tommy Smith; her sisters, Thelma Cochran, Burma Hendon, Ruth Davis and Earnestine Clark; and her brother, Grover Bailey.

She was a member of North side Baptist Church in West Point.

The family received friends Sunday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
