Burned to Death in Home Fireplace

Mrs. Clara Moore, 64 Years Old, Probably Fainted From Fright; Dies of Injuries After Reaching Hospital

Klamath Falls, Or., April 27. – Mrs. Clara Moore, 64 years old, a pioneer resident of Klamath Falls, fell into the fireplace at her home in Poe Valley late Saturday night an received burns from which she died 10 minutes after she had been taken to a local hospital.

Mrs. Moore was in the fire for some time before the hired man found her.

Except from her knees down, the woman's body was burned. After being taken from the fire the woman partly regained consciousness. Her explanation tended to show that she had been undressing in front of the fire and had dropped a garment which became ignited. Frightened at this, she probably fainted and fell headlong into the blaze.
