OBITUARY :
J. E. REMSBURG DEAD AT 86

J. EDGAR REMSBURG, 86, Sharpsburg, died Monday evening at the Washington County Hospital.

Born in Sharpsburg, he was the son of Cyrus Hicks and Alice Ann Nicodemus Remsburg. He was the husband of the late Mary Ann Petre Remsburg.

He was a retired farmer and livestock dealer. He was a member of Christ Reformed Church of the United Church of Christ and for many years was a deacon and elder of the onsistory. He was a Past Master of Eureka Lodge No. 105 A.F. & A.M. He was a charter member of the Sharpsburg Lions Club.

He is survived by one brother, Fred F. Remsburg of Sharpsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Christ Reformed Church of the United Church of Christ in Sharpsburg. The Rev. Richard A. Plant and the Rev. John W. Schildt will officiate.

Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home in Sharpsburg this evening from 7 to 9. Masonic memorial services will be held this evening at 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Christ Reformed Church of the United Church of Christ.
