Freda P. Miller
Freda P. Miller, 92, of Jefferson City, peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013, surrounded by her family at Heisinger Bluffs, Jefferson City.
She was born September 5, 1920, in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of the late Ernest Craver and the late Clara (Messer) Craver.
On March 22, 1941 she was united in marriage to Rev. E.J. Miller, who preceded her in death on March 8, 2001.
Freda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, and her many friends and neighbors. She also loved flowers, gardening, and taking care of her many pets.
Freda will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Johnny Miller and wife Janice, of Tebbetts; one daughter, Joyce Murphy and husband Ron, of Holts Summit; and two grandchildren, Ashley Miller and Matthew Murphy. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Mueller officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, also at Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Mokane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mokane Cemetery c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Blvd, Fulton, MO 65251. CENTERVILLE — Freda Pauline Miller, 92, of Jefferson City, Mo. peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013, surrounded by her family at Heisinger Bluffs, Jefferson City, Mo.
Freda was born Sept. 5, 1920, near Centerville, the youngest of seven children born to Earnest Vest and Clara Arthelia (Messer) Craver. She attended Appanoose County Rural Schools and, for a time, Centerville High School with the class of 1938. On March 22, 1941, at Unionville, Mo., she was united in marriage to the Rev. Edward Jacob Miller, who preceded her in death on March 8, 2001. Freda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, and her many friends and neighbors. She also loved flowers, gardening, and taking care of her many pets.
Freda will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Johnny Edward Miller and wife Janice, of Tebbetts, Mo.; one daughter, Joyce Ellen Murphy and husband Ron, of Holts Summit, Mo; and two grandchildren, Ashley Renee Miller and Matthew Jacob Murphy. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Iva Bernice Craver of Exline. Besides her parents, Freda was preceded in death by four brothers, Noah Lee, Claude Edward, Clyde Vest and Orville Laverne "Bud" Craver; two sisters, Gertrude Irene Anderson and Wilma Inez Love.
Visitation was held Wednesday, April 3, 2013. Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Mo., with Chaplain Jim Mueller officiating. Interment was held at the Mokane Cemetery in Callaway County, Mo. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mokane Cemetery c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Blvd, Fulton, Mo. 65251.
