Obituary from the Shreveport Times newspaper, July 15, 1977, Friday, p. 14:

Dan Charles Booras Jr., a former Shreveport resident, died Wednesday in Baton Rouge of a gunshot wound. He was 25.

Mr. Booras was employed by the BandAid Entertainment Agency. He was a graduate of Byrd High School and Louisiana State University. He was a member of Kappa Alpha, Order of AHEPA and St. George Greek Orthodox Church and its choir.

Services will be at 4 p.m. today at the Marshall Street Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home with the Rev. Peter Bithos, pastor of the Greek Orthodox Church of Dallas, Tex., officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow, Susie Royle Booras of Baton Rouge; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Booras; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Achilles Armenakis; and a brother, Christopher Booras, all of Shreveport.

Pallbearers will be Ed Patterson, Richard Preis, John Boston, Chris Dantin, William Wallace, Harry Booras Jr., Gray Teekell and Kim Kayser.

The family requests that any contributions be made to the St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
