Helen Noack Perry was born and raised in Rockdale, graduating from Rockdale High School, and receiving her degree from Austin Business College. She and Preston Hubert Perry were married in June 1960 in Rockdale. They raised two sons in Rockdale. Helen was a homemaker and business woman, having worked for the State Legislator and in Rockdale owned a baby clothing store and a malt shop. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, New Salem Home Demonstration Club, a charter member of Linwood Acres Garden Club, Matinee Music Club, member and Ambassador of Rockdale Chamber of Commerce, instrumental in organizing the renovation of the I&GN Depot Museum. Mrs. Perry passed away in the Manor Oaks Nursing Home in Rockdale where she had lived the past six years. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter-in-law, Teresita Perry, a brother, Earl Noack and four sisters, Emma VonGonten, Pearl Holley, Ruby Whiteley and Della May Keen. Funeral services for Mrs. Perry, 88, were held April 1, 2013 in the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial followed in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale. Phillips & Luckey
