ELEM TRAN
Elem Tran, son of Emanuel and Elizabeth Tran, was born at Sebewa Center October 8 1869 and lived his entire life
in that community. He was one of a family of four boys and five girls.
He was married to Sarah Means of Evart February 9, 1891, in the United Brethren parsonage at Hersey,
Michigan. To them were born four children - Mrs. Florence Hiar of Portland, Ross Tran of Sebewa Center,
Ethel Taylor (deceased) and Margaret Alice Knight of Portland. He was a faithful member of the Sebewa Center
Methodist church for many years. He leaves to mourn, Mrs. Tran, three children, two grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Florence Taylor.
Mr. Tran was a good friend and neighbor and will be greatly missed by all. Funeral was held at the Sebewa Center Methodist church, Sunday, Rev. Merle Henson officiating. Interment in Sebewa cemetery.
