ZANESVILLE -- Woodrow W. Mumaw, 84, of Zanesville, died at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2003, at Genesis--Bethesda campus following a four month illness.

Born Dec. 29, 1918, in Zanesville, he retired from Burnham Boiler Corporation following 44 years of service. Following his retirement, he operated a lawn mower repair shop at his home.

Surviving are his wife, Sue (Kaiser) Mumaw of the home, whom he married Aug. 12, 1936; two daughters, Dianne (Max) Mann and Judy Lane, all of Queen Creek, Ariz.; three sons, Larry (Ellie) Mumaw of Zanesville, Rick Mumaw of Crooksville, Terry (Bonnie) Mumaw of Zanesville; 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John (Theora) Mumaw of Zanesville, Raymond Mumaw of Cannelville; one sister, Ethel Wood of Zanesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Annie (Oiler) Mumaw; two sons, Tom and William Mumaw; one grandson, Larry J. Mumaw Jr.; two sisters.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Hillis Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave., where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park.
