Private in the Connecticut Continental Line. Enlisted at New Milford, CT, as Private in March 1779, and served to December 1779, in Capt. Doan's Co., Col. Meig's Regiment. Also served as Private for four months from Sept. 1781 in Capt. Clark's Co., Col. Willett's Regiment. He engaged in the battles of Stony Point, Johnstown, and others. On May 6, 1818, while living in Chautauqua Co., NY, he made application for pension, which was granted.
