Wife of Lawrence J. Schulte
Regina Ann Schulte, 82, St. Thomas, died Saturday at St. Marys Health Center. She was born Dec. 15, 1910, at St. Elizabeth, a daughter of Joseph H. and Anna Dicknite Bax. On July 20, 1940, she was married at St. Elizabeth to Lawrence Schulte, who died on April 18, 1972. She attended the schools at St. Elizbeth. She was a member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Thomas; the St. Ann's Sodality, the Quilting Club, and the St. Thomas Over Fifty Club. A housewife, she had also been employed at St. Marys and St. Johns hospitals, both in St. Louis. Survivors include: two sons, Stanley Joseph Schulte, Maynard, Mass., and Larry H. Schulte, St. Thomas; two daughters, Mary Ann Schulte, Kirkwood, and Lucinda A. Borgmeyer, Jefferson City; four brothers, Adolph Bax, Jefferson City, and Anton Bax, Vic Bax, and Gus Bax, all of St. Elizabeth; two sisters, Catherine Hoecker, St. Elizabeth, and Martha Berendzen, Mary's Home; and three grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, with the Rev. Wayne Boyer officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Knights of Columbus Hall, St. Thomas, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Memorials have been suggested to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Assn.
