By 1830, her mother now passed away, Sallie has moved in with her niece, Jewel Hamilton and her husband Gurr, along with Jewel' mother Nancy Jinks. At that time they were all living along Wesley Road near Howard and Gurr was an assistant postmaster there.
Then, by 1940, she had moved again, this time in with her sister Melvina and her husband Will Brown and son Will. They were still near Howard where Will was acting as a farmer.
