Robert Windt, of Nymore, one of the employee of the planing mill, died Saturday morning at the St. Anthony's hospital from pneumonia after an illness of only nine days. He leaves a wife and two children. The funeral will be held Tuesday, January 14, from the Catholic church, Rev. Father Philippe officiating. Interment will be made in Greenwood cemetery.

Robert was born in Germany and came to the United States around the age of twelve.

The 1900 census lists his date of birth as Feb. 11, 1871


Robert married Della McCarthy (later known as Margaret D.) July 4, 1894 in Ashland, Wisconsin. They had 3 children: Mabel, Robert & Lyle and they lived in Eau Claire, WI. Robert worked for the electric railroad as conductor. Sons, Robert and Lyle will later take the last name of Monroe, Margaret D.'s second husband last name .


By about age 33, he was working in Crookston, MN at the Crookston Lumber Co. On July 6, 1909, he married Hannah Wick in Polk, Minnesota, US. They later moved to the Bemidji area and had two children, a daughter and son.


Robert developed pneumonia and after only nine days he died, leaving a wife and two small children to mourn his passing, July 11, 1913
