Hannah was the second child of Carl Wik (Wick) and Emma Johanson (Lundeen). Her father died when she was 16, her mother, when she was 18. She, along with some of her older siblings, went out to find work.

She worked as a domestic in the Scandia Hotel in Crookston, which was owned by her maternal aunt and uncle. It was there she met her first husband, Robert Wendt, who was boarding at the hotel. They married July 6, 1909. They had a daughter and a son. Robert died in 1913, leaving her with two small children.

She married Theodore Spencer Osborn on Apr. 3, 1917 in Beltrami County, MN. They had three sons and two daughters. Her husband died when the youngest child was ten and Hannah then moved to Portland OR to be near her older children who had relocated to the area.

With her children grown, Hannah spent the rest of her years traveling between the homes of her children. Her last years, she lived with her daughter Amy in Kelso WA. She lived to the age of 81 years.
