MRS. GERTRUDE E HERBERT
Mrs. Gertrude E. Herbert, wife of Abram H. Herbert of 160 East River road, Rumson, died early this morning at her home. Mrs. Herbert was born in Rumson and was the daughter of the late George W. and Sarah C. Emery. She was a member of the Rumson Methodist church and Sea Bright council, Sons and Daughters of Liberty. Surviving besides her husband are four daughters, Miss Miraim Herbert and Mrs. Paul Hollodway of Rumson, Mrs. Leo Langdo of Red Bank and Mrs. Joseph Craig of Long Island; a son, Alfred A. Herbert of Red Bank; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Wellington Emery of Rumson and Charles Emery of Seattle, Washington, and a sister, Mrs. Joseph Cassidy of Belleville. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Rumson Methodist church, with the pastor, Rev. W. Winfield West, officiating. Burial in charge of the Mount Memorial home will be in Bayview cemetery.
