PULASKI — Thelma Large Kendall Roop of 1371 Beth Scott Drive, Pulaski, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, in Montgomery Regional Hospital.

Born July 10, 1923, in Strawberry Plains, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late John Oliver Large and Bertha Meeks Stallings Large.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roland Kendall.

She was the manager of the Red Carpet Inn and Restaurant in Pulaski for 30 years.

She is survived by her husband, Paul C. Roop; one daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Linda) Eads of Draper; one son, Conrad R. Kendall of Marietta, Ga.; one sister, Velma L. Davis of Knoxville, Tenn.; one brother, James Franklin Large of Knoxville, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held Friday evening at 7 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ron L. Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow Saturday at 1 p.m. in Lynnhurst Cemetery, Knoxville, Tenn. Visiting will he Friday from 6 until 7 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will include James McMillan and Wayne Jarrells.
