HEIT. Bro. Joseph Heit, son of Jacob and Catharine Heit, was born near Boyertown, Pa., Feb. 6, 1833, died suddenly and unexpectedly at Easton, Pa., June 13, 1892, of neuralgia of the heart, aged 59 y., 4 m. and 5 d. Bro. H had been complaining for several weeks of severe pains in the region of the heart, but seemed as well as usual and quite cheerful on Sunday, when he attended three services. Monday morning he arose quite early, had family worship and ate an early breakfast. Soon after he took his peaceable departure. About 40 years ago he was happily converted to God, united with the Ev. Association, and remained faithful to his end. He was a regular attendant at divine services, discharging his duties with pleasure and was interested in the salvation of others. A bereaved wife, 1 brother, 6 children of his first wife, 10 grandchildren, and many friends remain to mourn their loss. May his prayer, To meet them all in heaven, be answered. Funeral by the writer. W. H. Stauffer
