MRS. REBECCA PETERSON EXPIRES NEAR BENSCREEK
Was Native of Indiana County, Invalid for Past Five Years; Burial Monday
Mrs. Rebecca Peterson, aged 70 years, who had been an invalid for the last five years, died at her home near Benscreek, Somerset County, about 8 o'clock this morning, her death being due to a complication of diseases. Mrs. Peterson was born in Indiana County in 1862 and was a sister of Mrs. Jennie McNutt, of Cleveland.
The deceased was married twice, the first time to Hezekiah C. Reed, who died some years ago. Four sons were born to this union, Scott Reed, of Oakhurst, and Ernest, Dewey and Floyd Reed, all of Benscreek. In 1904 Mrs. Reed married Josiah Peterson, who passed away at Benscreek about 19 months ago. A son was born to this union. He is Jay Peterson, of Benscreek.
Mrs. Peterson was affiliated with the First Lutheran Church, Indiana, Pa. Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon at the Peterson home, interment to be in Grandview Cemetery.
