Civil War Veteran, Private, 17th PA Cav, Company I. 162nd Volunters. Enlisted Oct 19, 1864. Discharged, Aug 7, 1865.

Levi H. Michael (not to be confused with his cousin who is also called Levi Michael) spent his life working on his father's farm. The Michael family owned quite a large amount of property, some of which is still owned by family today. Many of the Michael ancestors are buried in a small cemetery located on the privately owned farm.

Levi married Elizabeth Herman/Harmon, d/o Samuel & Leah (Fegely) Herman on May 30, 1867, in the home of his cousin, Angelina (Michael) Shuman, w/o Franklin Shuman of Catawissa. Rev. Wm. Eyer officiated.

Children of this union were:

Ida Michael (1867 - 1873) buried in the private Michael Cemetery located on the farm.

Cora D. Michael (1869 - 1908) Buried in Hargers

Sadie A. Michael (1875 - 1897) Buried in Hargers, Married to Edward D. Butt.

Lillian Jane Michael (1878 - 1977) Buried in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading, PA., Married Emanuel Josiah Bredbenner.
