Dorothy R. Shotts, 67, of Martinsville, died at 11:58 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 1985 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Marrs-Snyder Funeral Home in Marshall with the Rev. Glenn Arbuckle officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Martinsville. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today, Thursday at the Marrs-Snyder Funeral Home.
She was born Feb. 12, 1917 in Illinois to Ben and Frances Carpenter Miller.
She married Marshall Shotts on Dec. 21, 1934 and he died in 1982.
She was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church.
Surviving are: her mother, Frances Miller of Martinsville; one son, John Shotts of Marshall; one daughter, Mrs. Frances Kidd of Martinsville; four brothers, Wayne Miller, Dean Miller and Delmer Miller of Florida and Dale Miller of Martinsville; three sisters, Martha Smith of Walkerton, Ind., Margaret Hutchings of Jamestown, Ind., Sylvia Watson of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; one step-grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
