Portia Ann Morris was the oldest known child of Stephen Augustus Morris & Martha Alston Poston. Portia is found in the 1880 (Saint James Santee Parish) Charleston, S.C. census. This is the only place that I have been able to find any documentation on her. That census gives her a DOB of 1868, which is what I used for her birth. For those who are not aware, the 1890 census was destroyed by fire. Portia is missing in the 1900 census.
Portia Ann & her younger sister Sallie Rebecca married brothers. Portia married Robert Samuel Ackerman and Sallie married Joseph Thomas Ackerman, Robert's younger brother. Portia and Sallie also had a first cousin named Sarah Morris Shultz that married Robert and Joseph's younger brother Curry Ackerman. All of the above mentioned are buried at Halfway Creek Cemetery.

Gravesite Details
The exact date of Portia's death isn't known by me. Her daughter and infant son is found on the 1900 census staying with Portia's parents Augustus and Martha.
