Sr. Marie Schroeder, O.S.F., 81, of Oldenburg, died Saturday, September 3, 2005 at the Srs. of St. Francis Convent in Oldenburg. She was born April 28, 1924 in Greensburg the daughter of John Schroeder and Elizabeth Trilling Schroeder, both deceased.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sr. Agnes Cecile Schroeder and Agnes Schroeder and three brothers, Joseph Schroeder, Leonard Schroeder and Philip Schroeder.
Sr. Schroeder entered the convent on September 8, 1946 and she made her final vows on August 12, 1952. She was a teacher at various schools in Indiana, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 6, 3 p.m. at the Srs. of St. Francis Motherhouse Chapel in Oldenburg with Rev. Carl Hawver, O.F.M. officiating.
Burial was in the St. Francis Cemetery. Memorials may go to the Srs. of St. Francis Convent.
Weigel Funeral Home, Batesville, was in charge of the arrangements.
