Services for former Sheridan resident Lily J. Suhs of Forest Grove will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon in the chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville. The Rev. Jim Peterson of Lafayette Community Church will officiate.
Interment will be in Green Crest Memorial Park, Sheridan.
Mrs. Suhs died April 4, 2000, in her home. She was 94.
Born Dec. 31, 1905, in Silver Bow, Mont., she was the daughter of Joseph and Ellen Schevenius Pedranti. Her family moved to Kalama, Wash., in 1918, and to Sheridan in 1927.
She and Earl Suhs were married June 30, 1930, in Vancouver, Wash.
Mrs. Suhs lived in Newcastle, Wyo., for a few years, then returned to Sheridan. For many years, she worked in the Sheridan Bakery, which was owned by her mother and stepfather, John Hendricks.
Mrs. Suhs was an active member of the Parent-Teacher Association when her daughters were in school. Over the years, she belonged to the Eagles Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary, volunteered for the American Red Cross and worked on the Sheridan Election Board.
She left her home in Sheridan in 1993 because of failing health. She lived in the Mulberry House in Forest Grove at the time of her death.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Barrett of St. Helens and Margaret Walden of Eugene; a sister, Easter Holland of Perrydale; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the giver's choice in care of Macy & Son, 135 N.E. Evans St., McMinnville, OR 97128.
