Mrs. P.R. Johnson Buried Wednesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Peter R. Johnson (Margaret) 64, prominent resident of Daggett who died Sunday at 1 P.M. in St. Joseph's hospital in Menominee, were held Wednesday at 8:30 A.M. in the Strands funeral home in Daggett and at 9 A.M. in St. Frederick's church. Rev William R. Schick was the celebrant of the solemn requiem high mass, assisted by Rev. Frank A. Seifert of Spalding as deacon, and Rev. Joseph F. Duquette of Nadean, as sub-deacon.
Bearing the casket to and from the funeral car were Neil LeClaire, Authur J. Lesperance, George Bergstrom, Peter Rivard, Max Kuntze and Albert Wandelt. Members of the Sanctuary Society of St. Frederick's church were honorary pallbearers and members of the American Legion Auxiliary formed an honorary escort.
Burial was made in the Stephenson cemetery.
Margaret Kiley Johnson was born in Glenmore, Wi January 1, 1887 and had lived at Daggett since 1891. She married Mr. Johnson in 1895. She was a member of St. Frederick's church, the Sanctuary Society, the Daughters of Isabella and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surving are two sons and four Daughters; Harold Johnson of Daggett; Aubrey W. Johnson of Roscoe, Il; Mrs. A.E Johnson (Alta Mae Johnson) of Linden, N.J.; Mrs. G.W. Newell (Margaret Johnson) of Roscoe Il, Miss Irene Johnson and Mrs. Stanley Heidenreich (Beatrice Johnson) of Chicago. Another daughter, Bernice Johnson, preceded her mother in death. Mr. Johnson died several years ago. A sister, Mrs. James (Katherine) Kesler of Iron Mountain still survives.
