John Kiley, 43, single, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Peter (Margaret) Johnson in Daggett shortly after midnight Thursday. He had been ailing for several months, and had been confined to his bed for the past six weeks. Pneumonia was the direct cause of his death.
Besides his sister, Mrs. Johnson (Margaret) with whom he made his home, he is survived by another sister, Mrs. Kathrine Kesler of Iron Mountain and an uncle, Thomas Kiley of DePere WI.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Fredrick's church in Daggett, Rev. Fr. Seifert officiated.
Paul bearers were William Marville, Alec Lavigne, Charles Johnson, John Larsen, Arthur Perrizo and George Jacobson. Burial was made at the Stephenson cemetery.
Miss Beatrice Johnson a niece of the deceased arrived here from Chicago to attend the obsequies. Other out of town relatives were Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Kesler of Escanaba, Mrs. Katherine Kesler and Russell Kesler of Iron Mountain.
