Bedford – Edna Mae Craig, 90, of Bedford (Silverville), died at 7:55 am on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Garden Villa with her caregiver and children by her side.
Born August 21, 1922 in Jefferson Co., she was the daughter of Perry G.C. and Adaline (Henry) Hopper. She married Wayne "Dollar" Craig on March 11, 1945 and he preceded her in death on February 19, 1981. She was a homemaker and a member of the Silverville Baptist Church.
Survivors include her best friend and caregiver, Deloris (Dee) Axsom of Bedford; children, Gerald Wayne Prince and wife, Tammy, Regina Vonderhaar and husband, Rich, Tami Holtsclaw and husband, Lexie all of Bedford; six grandchildren, Brittany Kern, Craig Prince, Holly Owens, Amber Baker, Nate Norman and Hillary Deckard; thirteen great grandchildren; a niece, Shirley Marshall of Seymour. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Eddie Wayne Craig, who was killed in action while serving in Viet Nam in 1967; seven brothers, Harry, Westford, Perry, Jr., Salem, Arney, Emory and Lester; three sisters, Daisy, Fannie and Sally Jane; a step-daughter, Norma Elkins.


Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 8th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Lewis Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery in Silverville.
