Tecumesh resident C.W. Annanders Sr., 87, died Saturday, Feb. 19, in Tecumseh.
He was born June 14, 1917, in Archie City, Texas, to Robert L. and Alice Missouri (Montgomery) Annanders.
The moved by covered wagon to the Tribbey and Macomb area when he was 5. He attended school at Tribby, graduating from the eight grade.
He served with the United States Army from January 1942 to October 1944 in the Aleutian Islands.
He worked at Tinker Air Force Base, retireing June 29, 1973.
He married Sybil Hamlin July 2, 1946, Norman.
They ranched in the Tecumseh and Macomb areas. She proceded him in death of Feb. 8, 2004.
He also was proceded in death by his parents; son, Robert L. Annanders; granddaughter, Rebecca Annanders; two sisters, Susie Troxell and Lela Churchwell, and four brothers, Roy, Andy and Cecil Annanders and Johnny Davis.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorthy J. Cruz of Tecumseh, and PAtricia Annanders of Earlsboro; three sons and daughters-in-law Carl and Kay Annanders, Mike and Mariland Annanders, and Charles Annanders,all of Tecumseh; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Suggs and Betty Cathey, both of Tecumseh, and many other relatives.
Service will be 2 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Chapel in Tecumseh with the Rev. Jimmie Heard officiating, Burial will be at Mars Hill Cemetery.
Cooper Funeral Home is directing arrangements.
