Tecumseh resident Edna "Nan" Davis Suggs, 93, died Sunday, March 12, in Shawnee.

She was born Dec. 29, 1912, in Wise County, Texas, to Robert L. and Alcie (Montgomery) Annanders. She moved to Oklahoma as a small child.

In 1929, she married Clarence "Dee" Davis. He preceded her in death in 1977. In 1984, she married Earl Suggs. He preceded her in death in 2000.

She worked at Shawnee Roundhouse Garment Factory for 21 years.

She loved her church family at Highland Church of Christ where she was an active member and taught Sunday School for 50 years. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, VFW Auxiliary and Rebekas Lodge. She was active in the Tecumseh Senior Citizens and was crowned Frontier Days Sweetheart.

A homemaker, she loved to garden, sew, quilt and cook good meals for her family and friends. She also enjoyed picking and shelling pecans and playing Dominoes.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Johnny, Andy, C. W., Roy and Carl Annanders; two sisters, Susie Troxell and Lela Churchwell.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-Law, Rosa and Max Brown of Tecumseh; one sister, Betty Cathey of Tecumseh; grandchildren, Gary and Connie Brown of Tecumseh, and Julie Brown of Choctaw; great-grandchildren, Trace and Autumn Brown, Shane and Lori Brown, all of Tecumseh; great-great-grandchildren, Zachary, Colby and Landon Brown, all of Tecumseh; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends

Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Church of Christ with Robbie Kinsey and Bob Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
