Mrs. Kate Sheffield Hamilton, aged 63 years and wife of Mr. P. G. Hamilton, died suddenly of apoplexy at their home near Cyruston Friday, June 7, 1935. She was the daughter of Arthur Sheffield and Sarah Moore Sheffield. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, a wonderful Christian, a true and faithful wife, a devoted mother, and a kind and thoughtful neighbor. She was a useful woman in her community and every acquaintance mourns her passing away. Funeral services were conducted at the Swan Creek Church, of which she was a member, by Rev. H. S. Brown, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter and four sons, Mrs. Floyd Richardson, Robert Hamilton, Joe Hamilton, William Hamilton, and James Hamilton; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Blake, Mrs. Olivia McFerrin, and Mrs. Hugh Moore; two brothers, William Sheffield and Raymond Sheffield.
