George R. Armstrong 79, died at the home of Auburn Lee near West Augusta Saturday, July 5. He was born in Highland County, a son of the late W.H. & Susan Armstrong. Services were held at McKendree Church at three p. m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. L. O. Rose. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Nephews served as pallbearers.

George R. Armstrong ,born Oct. 29, 1869, died July 6, 1947. He was the son of the late William and Susanne Botkin Armstrong. He is survived by one half brother J. Morgan of Waynesboro, two brothers Van of Illinois and Granville of Doe Hill. Two sisters, Mrs. H. H. Malcolm of Doe Hill and Mrs. Reese McCray of Headwaters; also a number of nieces and nephews and other, relatives. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. O. Rose in McKendree Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
