Sister Eleanor Lucey, OP, 67, of the Dominican Motherhouse at Sinsinawa, died Friday, June 26, 1992 at Mercy Health Center, St. Joseph's Unit in Dubuque, IA.
She was born Oct. 11, 1924 in Ferryville, WI to Gregory C. and Ella (McNamara) Lucey.
She made her first profession of religious vows on August 5, 1944.
For a time, Sister Eleanor was the vicaress of the Dominican Motherhouse at Sinsinawa. She taught elementary school from 1944 until 1980 and was principal at Holy Family School in Whitefish Bay from 1968-1972. She was principal at Queen of Peace School in Madison from 1972 to 1980. She is survived by three brothers and three sisters.
