Funeral services were in Fair Play, Feb. 20, for James Saxon Harris, 61, of Carthage, who died Feb. 18 in Panola General Hospital.

The retired former owner of Saxon Harris Feed Store and a Mason, Harris is survived by his wife, Mrs. Francis [sic Frances] Harris of Carthage; a son, Foster (Sonny) Harris of Carthage; a daughter, Mrs. Tommy Young of Carthage; a brother, Sylvan Harris of Carthage; six sisters, Mrs. Juanita Gentry and Mrs. Chester Hill, both of Shreveport, Mrs. Clifton Shivers of Beckville, Mrs. Edward Strong and Mrs. Bert Carlton, both of Henderson, and Mrs. Frank Wolfe of Dallas; and by three grandchildren.

Services were at Allison Chapel, Rev. Richard Appling and Rev. C. T. Wallace officiating.

Interment was in Harris Cemetery.
