Ike Sartin

Ike Sartin, 68, 2726 Maple Road Rome died at his residence Monday morning from a sudden attack. He was a native of Floyd County, born Aug. 18, 1910, the son of the late Pearl Mize and Talley Sartin.

He was a retired textile worker and member of the East Rome Church of God.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Etta Kent Sartin, Rome, a daughter, Mrs. Betty Wilson, a brother James (Jim) Sartin, Rome, two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the East Rome Church of God with the Revs. Gene Garner and Charles Frankes officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers are Horace Kennington, Cap Stout, Arvil Burkhalter, Mark Carroll, J. C. Winslett, Marvin Tucher, Claude Beam, R. H. Bennett, Ernest Smith, J. W. Oaks, Atlas Forrester and Wesley Godfrey.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and at other hours will be at the residence.

Henderson-Frazier Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
