James Franklin Sartin, 87, of 44 Wallace Drive died Sunday morning at his residence after a long illness.
Mr. Sartin was born in Floyd County, Aug. 21, 1905, son of the late Talley Sartin and Pearl Mize Sartin. Before retirement, he was employed by WestPont Pepperell Manufacturing Co. for more than 44 years. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He attended the Rome Central Church of God.
Survivors include: his wife, Gladys Earline Highfield Sartin, to whom he was married March 2, 1929; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rome Central Church of God with the Rev. Elgin Williams and the Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
