EMANUEL JENNINGS, widely known and esteemed citizen of Brownsville, died on Sunday morning at 12:30 o'clock of general debility, aged 85 years. He was a son of the late Samuel and Sophia Nichols Jennings and had resided in the Brownsville district the greater part of his life. He was well known and had many friends.
He was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Brownsville.
His wife died five years ago. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Samuel Grimm and two sons, George S. and John E. Jennings, Brownsville; 13 grandchilcren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Church of the Brethren, Brownsville. Interment in the cemetery adjoining. Six grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
