GEORGE ANDERSON, 69, DIES AT WEST LIBERTY; WAS CANADIAN RESIDENT

WEST LIBERTY — George M. Anderson, 69, former West Liberty resident who, with his wife, had spent the winter here, died suddenly at 5 a.m. today after a heart attack. He had been in failing health for three months.

Mr. Anderson was born in Rock Island and came as a boy with his parents to the South Prairie community southwest of West Liberty. He was married April 22, 1903 to Esther Wilson of West Liberty, and the couple were farm residents n this area for a time.

Later Mr. Anderson was engaged in the clothing business
here with two brothers. From 1919 until his retirement in 1945, he operated a wheat ranch at Drumheller, Canada. A son, Raymond, now is operating the ranch.

Mr. Anderson was a member of Mt. Calvary lodge, A.F. and A.M., West Liberty.

Surviving him beside the widow and son, Raymond, are a son, Ernest, West Liberty, three sisters, five brothers and four grandchildren.

The body is at Snider Funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
