Ruth was the daughter of Benjamin Lucas Horton and Nannie Queen Knight. She married my cousin, Elmer Eli Vail, son of Benjamin Franklin Vail and Savannah Cordelia Gainey. Children: Herbert Wayne and Lambert Egan Vail. Ruth died in a Winnfield nursing home of old age. Herbert Wayne Vail was born Sept. 29, 1920 in Bessemer, Alabama and died Oct. 14, 1920.
