Mrs. Lillie Harris was born September 15, 1905 in Buncombe, the daughter of John and Martha McCoy Barnett. Her siblings include Dallas Narnett, Carl Barnett, Forest Barnett, Dean Barnett and Mrs. Gloria Calvert.
She married Richard D. Harris in 1921. He survives as well as children, David and William, both of Wayne, Michigan; John of Florida; Carl of East Dearborn, Michigan; Lewis of Murphysboro; Kenneth Eugene of Granite City; Mrs. Lillie E. Lambdin of Gladwin, Michigan and Mrs. Ida L. Brant of Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Mrs. Harris had lived in the area all her life. She was a member of Mt. Carbon Church of God. She died at the age of 60 in Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
