John G. Barnett, 80, of Murphysboro, died December 23 at his home, following an extended illness.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Mt. Carbon Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Martha McCoy; sons, Carl and Forrest Barnett of East. St. Louis, Dallas Barnett of Zeigler and Dean Barnett of Murphysboro; daughters, Mrs. Lillie Harris of Murphysboro and Mrs. Glora Calvert of Ava. A daughter preceded him in death.
