Survivors include his wife, Pauline of West Plains; 12 children, Clarence Edward of Fredericktown, MO; Rhoda 'Elizabeth' of Springfield, MO; Othel Jackson of West Plains, MO; Gloria May of West Plains, MO; Deanna Lourane of Brandsville, MO; Bobbie Lee of West Plains, MO; Alice 'Jean' of West Plains, MO; James Richard "Rick" of Kansas City, MO; Shirley Kay of West Plains, MO; Donald Ray of West Plains, MO; Johnny Wayne of West Plains, MO; and Joe Neal of West Plains, MO; two brothers, Clay King of West Plains and Delton King of Bartlesville, OK; 35 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Carolyn Marie, seven brothers and sister, and one grandson.
Funeral services are Aug. 27, 1989 at Carter Funeral Home chapel, West Plains, MO. Burial in Elk Creek Cemetery.
