Mrs. Robert Bowers
Mrs. Kathleen Moon Bowers, 30, of Volant RD 1 died on July 16, 1984, at her residence of a rifle wound. She was born on Dec. 24, 1953, in Grove City to LeRoy Albert and Mildred Barnes Moon. She married Robert Bowers on Oct. 9, 1970. Mrs. Bowers was a former employee of Northern Engineering Plastics Corp. in New Castle. She was of the Protestant faith. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and served as president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Stanley Snyder Post, Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Steven Wayne of Volant, Robert Jr. and Shawn Patrick, all at home; one daughter, Angela, at home; her mother, of Volant; one sister, Mrs. Andrew (Mary) Patton of North Carolina; two brothers, LeRoy Albert Moon of Stoneboro, and Eugene Henry Moon of Volant. She was preceded in death by her father in January 1984, and two sisters, Martha and Nancy. Visiting hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home, (Leesburg) Volant RD 1. A service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the funeral home with the Rev. Russell W. Shuluga, pastor of Nazareth United Methodist Church, Mercer, officiating. Interment will be in North Plain Grove Cemetery, Plain Grove Township.
