LeRoy Albert Moon Sr., 59, of Plain Grove Township, Volant RD 1, was dead on arrival at 2 p.m. Jan. 28, 1984, in Shenango Valley Oestopathic Hospital, Farrell. He died of natural causes. He was born on Aug. 29, 1924, in Pin Township, Mercer County, to Paul Wilbert and Clara Wynder Moon. He was married to the former Mildred Barnes on Sept. 3, 1948. He was toe motor driver for Sharon Steel. He was also a part-time self-employed farmer. Mr. Moon was of the Protestant faith. He is survived by his wife, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Mary) Patton of North Carolina and Mrs. Robert (Kathleen) Bowers of Volant; two sons, LeRoy Albert (Butch) Moon Jr, of Stoneboro, Pa., and Eugene Harry Moon of Volant; three sisters, Mrs. Eugene (Betty) Hamilton of Grove City, Edith Moon of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Margaret Smithers of Grove City; two brothers, Curtis Paul Moon and David Moon, both of Grove City; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Doris. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home in Leesburg. A service will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the funeral home with the Rev. Alfred Knauff of Drake Alliance Church officiating. Interment will be in North Plain Grove Cemetery, Plaingrove Township.
