Billie Wayne Jacobs, 77, of Martin, died Jan. 13, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gardner Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Wood and Rev. Matt Brown officiating. Burial was in Tansil Cemetery in Sharon.
Tim Stephens, Craig Hazelwood, Joey Jacobs, Laymon Jacobs, Dickie Jacobs and Keith Turner served as pallbearers.
Jacobs was born May 12, 1927, in Obion County, the son of the late Jodie and Myrtle Keathley Jacobs. He was a bookkeeper. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was a Mason and a 50 year member of Martin City Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Spain Jacobs of Martin; two sons, Ron Jacobs of Martin and Don Jacobs of Paris; four sisters, Joyce Stephens, Monette Turner, Sarah Hazelwood and Durell Royster, all of Martin; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
