DUTCHTOWN--Arthur Herman Obermann of Dutchtown died at his home at about 11:30 p.m. Monday. He was 78 years old.
Mr. Obermann was born at Dutchtown June 1, 1906, to Henry and Mary Mier Obermann. He was married on April 6, 1926 to the former Hermina Baudenistel who survives.
Mr. Obermann was employed as a foreman for the Little River Drainage District from which he retired in 1971. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish at Jackson.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Elmer J. Obermann, Dutchtown, and Arthur Lee Obermann, Jackson; two daughters, Mrs. Leona Friga, Jackson and Mrs. Jo Ann Moore, Delta; two brothers, Harry Obermann, Dutchtown and Roy Obermann, Miami, Fla.; two sisters, Miss Edith Obermann, Dutchtown and Mrs. Albert Sparrow, Florissant; 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Two sons, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.
