DEATHS

Mrs. Anna Sevold

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Sevold were Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 9, at Bethel Lutheran Church, Story City, with Pastor William A. Gregerson officiating.

Mrs. Myron Smuck was organist and Harris Twedt, Jr. was soloist.

Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Clifford Amdahl, Glen Amdahl, Amos Rorem, Elmer Sevold, Harvey Skeie and Harris Twedt, Sr.

Mrs. Sevold was born Aug. 23, 1890 in Illinois.

On Nov. 11, 1906, she was united in marriage to Henry Sevold. They owned and operated the Sevold Cafe in Story City from 1920 until 1950, after which Mrs. Sevold was employed at Iowa State University, Ames.

Mrs. Sevold died at Story City Memorial Hospital Saturday, Dec. 6, where she had been a patient since Oct 22.

Survivors include a son-in-law, Leslie Twedt of Radcliffe, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Clifford Sevold of Ames; two grandchildren, Mrs. Gary Carpenter of Roland and Donald Twedt of Radcliffe. One sister, Myrtle of Oklahoma, also survives.

Her husband preceded her in death, Nov. 23, 1947. Also preceding her n death were her parents, two sons and one daughter.
