Nancy L. Andrews Michaels

Mrs. Nancy L. Andrew Michaels, age 73, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on July 27, 1939 in Trimble County, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of the late, Elmer and Ruby Violet McClure Andrew. She was raised in Trimble County and attended school there. Nancy was united in marriage on July 30, 1954 in Carrollton, Kentucky to John Richard "Dick" Michaels. This union was blessed with a son, Richard Neil. Dick and Nancy resided in Tell City for 13 years moving back to Madison in 1977. She had worked in the housekeeping department at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah and after moving back to Madison she worked in the cafeteria at E.O. Muncie Elementary for 22 years. She was a faithful member of the North Madison Christian Church in Madison. Nancy was devoted to her husband, son and her sisters. She enjoyed the family get togethers and sharing in fun with her nieces and nephews. Nancy died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 1:35 p.m. at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison Indiana, surrounded by her family.
Nancy will be missed by her loving husband of fifty eight years: John Richard "Dick" Michaels of Madison, Indiana; her loving son: Richard Neil Michaels of Crawfordsville, Indiana; her loving sisters: Bonnie Mahoney of Madison, Indiana, Joann Rutherford of Madison, Indiana; several nieces, nephews & other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer & Ruby Violet McClure Andrew; her sister, Virginia R. "Jenny" Johnson died, July 1, 2006; her brothers, Uhel, James T., & Randall Andrew.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., by Bro. Bob Hicks at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Kentucky.
Friends may call Sunday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of King's Daughters'. Cards are available at the funeral home.
