On December 20, 1964, in Hollister, he was united in marriage to Lois Wanda Inmon, who preceded him in death in 1988. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Stanley Blankinship and one sister, Thelma Brigman. During World War II he was in the United States Army in the infantry, serving from December 10, 1942, until January 24, 1946. He spent most of his life in Barry County and worked at Forest Products in Cassville several years. In 1967 he moved to the Branson area and was employed as a Security Officer at Silver Dollar City, retiring in 1983.
