Louis Junior Kates, 68, of Pulaski died on June 18, 1994 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services were held Monday at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with Bernard Konig and Mack Pinkelton officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Good Springs, Alabama. He was a native of Lauderdale County, Alabama and the son of the late Alex and Della Florence (Hunt) Cates. He was a retired employee of Pulaski Rubber Company. Survivors include his wife, Pearlie Miranda (Howard) Kates; his daughters, Barbara Ann Graves of Lawrenceburg, Bonnie Swanner of Good Springs, Alabama, Judy Clemmons of Anderson, Alabama, Kathy Long of Lester, Alabama, and Shirley Thornton of Minor Hill; his brothers, Cecil Alex Cates of Pulaski and John Noah Cates of Decatur, Alabama; his sisters, Susie Lee White of Florence, Alabama and Violet Helen Townsend of Pulaski; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
