"Mrs. Clara Valentine Root, widow of Harry C. Root, Thurmont, died in Philadelphia Wednesday. Two daughters, Miss Margaret Root, Philadelphia, and Mrs. Blackwell Latham, Baltimore, survive. The body will arrive in Thurmont between 12 and 1 o'clock Friday afternoon and services will be conducted at the graveside in the Thurmont United Brethren Cemetery."
